India is known for its delicious dishes, this because of the spices they use. It is precisely the spices that give flavor to the dish, which delight the eye with the colors it conveys in food but also delight the taste with characteristic aromas. Today we will cook Butter chicken. It’s a fantastic recipe, one of my favorites, with an unforgettable taste that I suggest you to try.
Ingredients:
- 2 chicken fillets
- 200 gr tomato sauce + tomato
- 1 onion
- Olive oil
- 3 pieces of butter
- 1 box heavy cream
- Ginger, turmeric, paprika, basil, salt,
- Dried figs, walnuts, hazelnuts (or cashews),
- Water.
First we deal with the fillets which we cut into cubes and fry them in a pan with a little olive oil, when they have taken on a brown color we remove them from the heat and put them aside on a plate, in the same pan we throw the onion and let it fry for a few minutes, then add the tomato sauce with the tomatoes, mix them together. We toss the dried fruits that give it a fantastic taste. If you are going to use cashew nuts then add a teaspoon of sugar for extra flavour. After that add the spices and salt together with the butter. There is a lot of butter in the Indian recipe but I have tried to use as little fat as possible and again it turned out very good. Add 1 glass of water about 200 ml and let it boil for 10 – 15 min. Let the prepared sauce cool for 15 minutes and then throw it in the blender and grind it until you get a creamy mass.
Put the obtained mass back in the pan and add 400 ml of water, mix it until it becomes a unified mass and add the heavy cream, mix it well and finally add the previously fried fillet. Let it boil for 5 minutes and it is ready.
